GEI Luncheon in honor of Dr. Andrea Crovetto

Mr. Crovetto has a  degree in Business Administration from La Sapienza University, Rome

From 1988 to 1989 was a researcher at CENSIS, in Rome, from 1989 to 1990 was a marketing analyst at Standa, in Milan, and from 1990 to 1998 was working in the Finance division of Citibank.

1990 Management Associate within the Operations Management, with tasks in the independent control and Securities Departments.  

1992 Promoted to the Capital Markets area, entrusted with the task of starting a new warrants and equity derivatives business in Italy.

1997 Promoted to Global Co-Head for the warrants and equity derivatives business.

In 1998 Mr. Crovetto joined UniCredit Banking Group with the task of setting up a new business with warrants & equity derivatives within UniCredit Banca Mobiliare.

1999 Startup of the “TradingLab” project, whose mission was to deploy wholesale securities trading and marketing techniques towards retail brokers. Main achievements: KiloVar (an investor’s portfolio risk rating system, 1999) and TLX (2000) an innovative ECN, later upgraded to Regulated Exchange.

In 2000 was appointed CEO of the newly based investment bank “TradingLab Banca” and in 2002 was Promoted Condirettore Centrale of the holding company Unicredit.

In 2003 was appointed deputy  Director General of UniCredit  and in 2004 Chairman of UniCredit Assicura. 

(Insurance Unit of the Unicredit Group), Vice Chairman of CreditRAS Vita and CreditRAS; Member of the BoD for TLX, Commercial Union Vita, Societa’ Interbancaria per l’Automazione (SIA), Unicredit Servizi Informativi.

In 2004 Mr. Crevetto joined Banca di Roma as Managing Director.
