New York, May 25 2022- Jean-Francois Astier is the Co-Head of investment banking at Barclays Investment Bank.
He joined Barclays – one of the most influential banks on Wall Street, with 48 million clients worldwide – in 2008. Two years later, he became Head of Leveraged Finance for the Americas. From 2012 to 2017, Astier served as Head of Global Leveraged Finance and from 2017 to 2021, he was promoted as a Head of Global Capital Markets, he is now co-head of Investment Banking.

Jean-Francois Astier’s career has been deeply focused on leveraged finance. Before Barclays, he worked for a long time, 1992-2008, at Lehman Brothers as Head of Technology, Real Estate and Gaming verticals in Leveraged Finance. During this time, he was also the Co-Founder of a venture capital called Continuum Group Limited (2000- 2004).

After a bachelor degree in Business Administration at Luiss Guido Carli University, he received a master’s degree from INSEAD (Institut Europe?en d’Administration des Affaires), in France, one of the most prestigious and selective business schools in the world.
