GEI Lunch with Alessandro Benetton

New York, December 11, 2024- As we continue celebrating our 50th anniversary, our guest speaker was Alessandro Benetton, Chairman of Edizione, one of Europe’s leading diversified conglomerates, fully controlled by the Benetton family. In this role, Mr. Benetton led a significant turnaround of his own group, which recently became a Harvard University case study. During lunch, Mr. Benetton addressed the strategic changes that he made by creating Mundys, one of the most relevant global industrial groups in the airport, infrastructure and mobility services sectors, illustrating his vision for the future. With President of GEI, Mario Platero, Mr. Benetton discussed his latest book, La mia traiettoria. In the book Mr. Benetton explores the brave decision he made to leave the family business and face the unknown, creating a new path. As he says, “Independence was the real spark that led me to choose a future where I could stand on my own two feet and imagine an autonomous life.”
